28 Jun Ellis Bridals- why Victoria Elaine Bridal loves them!
Why we love Ellis Bridals!
Who are they?
Ellis Bridals began in the early 20th Century when Ada Ellis designed and created specially made dresses for London’s aristocracy. Ever since then, it has grown and developed to become a pioneer of luxury bridal design and is the oldest British bridal label still run by the same family!
Ada Ellis has a similar philosophy to us in that you should always surround yourself with what you love, so she opened her own boutique in the 1960’s, 50 or more years since the first Ellis gown was created. Now run by Regine Ellis, and her son James, Ellis Bridals continue to create bridal gowns which remain true to tradition, but work with a modern bride in mind.
What we love about Ellis Bridals is that they truly understand the importance of your bridal gown. Regine mentions it in her ‘promise’ on their website;
‘Your wedding dress should feel like you; a design that quintessentially expresses and enhances your individual beauty, having you feeling feminine and understatedly sensual. A lot of hands, hearts and creativity are required to make a bridal gown. Everything we do, from our in-house London designs, the fabric we use to all that is elegant, beautiful and exclusive comes with a guarantee of exquisite attention to detail and excellent service.’
We currently stock the Belgravia collection by Ellis Bridals, which launched in 2018. Full of gowns which radiate luxury, excellence and romance, each dress has been designed to show off the female form using classic silhouettes with modern twists.
One of our favourite gowns in store is Adeline (12325). This seemingly classic A-line gown, created out of the softest ivory satin is one of the most elegant gowns. The pleating and v-neckline on the front all lead your eyes to the synched in waist with delicate beaded belt. The dipped back of sheer tulle and more of the hand beaded detail from the front gives a wow factor for people to be mesmerised by while you say your vows!
Another gown that will tick all of your boxes (and more) is the beautiful Anastasia (12300). This gown is dramatic while softly contouring the female form to show off your curves. So you have the best of both worlds, the back is part zip, part corset. The illusion sleeves and lace trimmed train add elegance while the part corset back will leave you feeling secure! This gown does come in an ivory, but our sample is in champagne to soften the colour and warm up anyone’s skin tone. Not one to be missed!
The final gown to feature in this blog is the sublime Amal (18111). Unlike anything else on the bridal market, this crepe beauty gives the understated WOW-factor in an elegant way. With a long sweeping train, illusion beaded back, and high neck on the front, this gown offers contemporary, fashionable design from all angles! We think this gown would look amazing in an urban hotel, as well a rustic barn so would fit all themes and venues too!
