In this blog, you will see our top 5 picks of our bridal gowns that have sleeves! As you will see, a sleeve isn’t always what you expect to find! Are you looking for illusion, dreamcatcher, detachable or off shoulder? The choice is endless!

Aurora 2022 by Disney Fairy Tale Weddings
This wedding dress has the most beautifully embellished sleeves we have in the boutique. They are completely detached from the strapless Aurora inspired gown, and sold separately so could be ordered with any dress!
We call this style a dreamcatcher sleeve as it is full of whimsy and magic! By being completely detached they offer brides the chance to have 2 looks with one dress which is becoming our second request from brides recently!
This is the sleeved dress for you if you are looking for a wedding dress full of romance but know you want your arms free for throwing your shapes on the dance floor in the evening!
Marsden by Hayley Paige 
Out of all the wedding dresses with sleeves, this has to be my favourite! I just love how they drape and the ‘collar’ they create gives the dress a tailored feel.
Don’t be fooled by the photos, this
dress is covered with sparkly sequins, including on the sleeves so will mesmerise your guests as you walk down the aisle. And like Aurora above, the sleeves are detachable!
This is the sleeved dress for you if you are looking for something innovative and unique! Trust us, there isn’t another Marsden on the market! But if you want a hint of traditional in your bridal style, try it in ivory!
Jasmine 22 by Disney Fairy Tale Weddings 
We have longed for a Jasmine inspired dress with sleeves, and she is finally in the boutique! With beading inspired by the Arabic roots of the fairy tale, you know the bodice will be sparkly on this one! But it is balanced by it’s plain tulle, soft A-line skirt which is such a practical and comfortable silhouette to wear!
Please don’t be put off by words like practical or comfortable! You don’t want to get to the end of your wedding day with dress regrets, so it’s important to think of these things when #weddingdressshopping!
This is the sleeved dress for you if you are looking for embellishment! Often sleeves can be plainer than the dress itself, but not with Jasmine!

One thing we love about the Abella collection is it’s combination of fabric choices. On Sigrid, you have traditional laces combined with patterned glitter layers of tulle, which is not something we see a lot of!

This dress, with its illusion sleeves and back, offers brides the feeling of being covered whilst showing off some skin through sheer tulle. The best of both worlds, we think!
By being inspired by Pocohontas, there is little sparkle on this gown. However the champagne tones of the fabrics and embroidered leaf patterned lace bring the essence of this Princess to life! We always suggest this gown for brides who are getting married in September or October- there’s something really Autumnal about it!
This is the sleeved dress for you if you want to feel covered but prefer dresses that are less busy or desire to wear sleeves with a low back! The illusion will give this effect while you feel appropriately covered up!
But what if wedding dresses with sleeves aren’t for you?
Even though wedding dresses with sleeves is our number one request from brides, it is not what we sell most of! This is for two reasons. Sometimes brides come in thinking that lace sleeves or something similar will add an elegant vibe to their bridal style. And sometimes it does, but often they find an alternative neckline they prefer.
But secondly, and this is sadly the most common, sleeves are requested due to confidence. Or a lack of. We are real women who work here, we each have our own body hang ups as do a lot of our brides. So, if you think you fit in to this category, please read
this next paragraph carefully.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, AND YOUR PARTNER HAPPENS TO THINK SO TOO! Please don’t look for the dress that covers up the bits of you that you dislike. Find the dress you LOVE so much; it makes you forget all about these areas! It does exist! Try and off the shoulder strap or even a strapless with a veil, it might just be the look for you!
