When buying gowns for the boutique, I lecture the team on ‘what will the brides like?’ and ‘it’s not what you want, but your brides!’….

Now this low back wedding dress will take some beating! The beaded bodice is to die for- and I am NOT being overly dramatic! The not-too-low V-neck is balanced by a low V on the back, surrounded by heavily embellished side panels. You would think it would be the ballgown skirt adorned with glitter, or the cathedral length train on this dress that would be the WOW-factor…. but it’s all about the bodice!
Again, this gown would work if you have curves, but looks equally beautiful on someone of a petite frame. So, no matter your shape, body size…or how much of your back you want to show, we fully recommend trying on this gown! You will not regret it- it’s a dress dreams are made of!
Our top tips for choosing a low back wedding dress!
- Consider how the back will still have wow factor- after all, it is what your guests will see when you say your vows. Will it have some embellishment? Will you add a veil?
- If you have concerns over ‘back fat’, find a gown that still feels secure on the side seams and has some panelling across your hips and/or side panels.
- Square backs (as well as square necklines) are a modern option for a low back wedding dress. Look out for these if you are looking for something particularly contemporary!
